Join the Grant PTA!
Why should you join? Here are a few important reasons:
1. The #1 reason to join the Parent Teacher Association is that it’s good for your child. Research shows that children do better when their parents are involved both at home and in school. You will be showing your children that not only are they important to you, but their education is as well.
2. Every membership counts! When you join Grant PTA, you also join the California state and national PTA and become part of a national effort to improve our education system. Membership numbers count in a significant way when our representatives are lobbying for funding for education in the California legislature or in Congress.
3. It is an excellent way to get connected to the school and hear about important decisions and changes the school is thinking about making.
4. PTA membership gives you a voice and a vote on funding and other matters important to your child’s education. Your voice and ideas can help improve the quality of education for your children and their peers.
Joining the PTA does not require you to volunteer your time or attend meetings...although everyone is welcome! It’s easy to join.

We are excited to begin a new academic year with you- welcome back! Fall is the perfect time to embark on new learning, reconnect with friends, and join Grant TK-8’s 2020-2021 Imagine Campaign to raise money for our two community supported teachers and for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (S.T.E.A.M.) programs.

Volunteer!
There are many opportunities to help out at our school - even in these times we need room parents, and the are opportunities to join teams organizing virtual community and fundraising events!
Purchase a CSA from Stehly Farm Organics and Support our School
Support Grant and a local farmer!
Please consider joining the CSA program to get fresh fruits and veggies from Stehly Farms. The produce is amazing and you can choose to get small ($32) or large ($40) either weekly or twice a month...every box we sell, Grant will receive $5! Last year we raised over $2000 from our CSA program that went back to PTA student programs! Boxes are delivered to a porch in Mission Hills. Join the Grant TK-8 Parent-Teacher Science Committee
Parents with engineering or science backgrounds working with teachers to enhance STEM education at our school - lots of volunteer opportunities!
Volunteer with the Grant Great Artists Program
This is a very fun and rewarding way for you to volunteer in your child's classroom. You don't need a background in art or teaching. The lessons are already written - just waiting for you to volunteer!
Socialize with the The Grant Mom's Night Out Group
Join us and get together with other moms every third Thursday of every month!
